My Chaucer translation
I’m working on a translation of Chaucer’s masterpiece, Troilus and Criseyde, from Middle English into modern English verse, maintaining the rime royal of the original.
An extract from my translation was awarded third prize in the 2016 Stephen Spender Prize. You can read this on the Stephen Spender website, or download the beautifully produced prize booklet here.
And here’s the link for the audio recording of me reading it at the prize event.
